Captain Iron is a stop-motion short film originally introduced in Odes for a World in Search of Joy, commissioned by Amphibian Stage Productions and Presented by Culturehub's Re-Fest 2021. Inspired by Pablo Neruda’s Odes to Common Things, Amphibian Stage commissioned Texas artists of all disciplines to create performance works celebrating simple, human-made objects. In this storyline, Captain Iron is tasked with defending a helpless man from The Business Casuals, a gang known for their wrinkled clothes, intentionally making the man late for a crucial job interview.
